For most of their adult lives, Roger and his wife, Marnie, made their living singing for children as The Flyers. For over 20 years they travelled around the Midwest singing in schools, libraries, fairs, and festivals - any place chldren and families could be found.
In 1994, Roger founded a non-profit Christian concert ministry in the Twin Cities called "Up North". In 1999, Roger was called into full time pastoral ministry. In 2011, he accepted his first UMC pastoral appointment.
In 2016, Roger and Marnie were appointed to a three-point pastoral charge at Moose Lake UMC, Finlayson UMC, and Sandstone UCC.
Marnie is the Director of Spiritual Care and Formation. She is a certified Spiritual Director and visual artist. She offers Spiritual Direction sessions in her home and through Minnesota Renewal Center, a counseling ministry for pastors and missionaries in the Twin Cities.
John Sundin moved to Moose Lake in 1968. He and his wife Liz were married in 1970 and both became members at Moose Lake UMC. John has been the organist here since 1976. John has also sung in the choir, served as church treasurer, and taught Sunday School. Currently he also serves on the Administrative Council and chairs the Nurture committee.
